The show was previously hosted by Jeremy Mansfield under the name The Rude Awakening. Since Monday 2 August 2010, Simpson hosted 94.7’s morning show Breakfast Xpress. Darren “Whackhead” Simpson (born 19 April 1977) is a radio presenter (as of 2015) working for Primedia, a broadcasting company that broadcasts 94.7 Highveld Stereo and 94.5 Kfm in South Africa (Among others).
